Relaxation

I have been meaning to do this post for soooo long, but it’s like it just wasn’t meant to be *rolls eyes* every time I attempt to do this post something always goes wrong with my lappy, so I guess that I’m doing it now is a miracle....you’ll all agree with me that every girl needs her relaxation time and pampering once ever so often, we wouldn’t be women If we didn’t...well on 12th July it was my friend’s birthday and to mark the day a couple of us girls had a wonderful trip to the spa. The spa we went to was Bannatyne spa in Westminster, the environment and the experience was more than what words could ever explain, if you have never been to a spa before trust me you need to go, our package included a 30 minute treatment of our choice as well as the full use of all their facilities; sauna, steam room, swimming pool, gym and Jacuzzi. Well here are some pics from our spa experience, oh yeah and this is the spa’s site for any of you interested http://www.bannatynespa.com/spa/millbank hope you like, peace out xoxo

Home Alone

It’s so much fun when everyone’s out and your left alone, I absolutely enjoy alone time to just think & clear my head, get creative and go wild. So today I was home alone and so bored and I started to look for items of clothing to buy when I stubbled upon http://www.diamonddejior.com/ website, and I couldn’t believe it the black Barbie tee I had dreamed about for so long had finally been found =D....but then....i got thinking...i had first discoved this top and wanted this top way before the whole black Barbie trend thing and now that trend had hit the roof and was slowly making its way to the exit, I still wanted a Barbie tee, which got me thinking how about I design my own...anyways cut  a long story short I got my people to call some people and yup ima have my very own uniquely customised Barbie tee very soon *wiggles bum*, I was so over excited that I decided to look at some pictures of Barbie dolls, which is where I found this cutie

*Alarm bells* lets create a look from this Barbie, and so I did I bring to you my fellow blogging buddies Poochie’s Limited addition Barbie looooool...peace out y’all

Colour Blocking

Wwwoooww colour block pop!!! Okay Okay Ooookay, so it was brought to my attention of late that am still yet to be a part of this new colour blocking craze, most of you must be thinking how ironic because Poochie is such a colourful person, well today I was like ok ima do this -#_#-...i put together this outfit from some old stuff I found in my wardrobe, so nothing exciting but it slyly went together nicely. The look is not to in your face, as well as not too dressy but yet not too casual, for this otfit I’d say its one you may put on for a diner date or maybe even a Sunday service....1st try at this stuff *covers face*, so I hope you like.
The accessories used here where bought from Aunty Mary, the lady is really good, and each piece is souly designed around you and what you like. As you can clearly tell the necklace was created from a combination of the earrings I’m sporting and an old broken necklace which Aunty Mary revamped. If you live in the UK and would like her info, just holla at me. The ring also was bought from the same lady but came from a set which I highly disliked, so I just purchased the ring only, and it slyly goes and compliments my other accessory pieces.

These sexy green shoes of mine have been neglected for so long, they must be happy I decided to push my feet in them loool

Shoes- Linzi
Belt- Primark
Bag- Ted Baker
Skirt- Boutique a la Christine (lool mum’s old stuff)
Top- one random shop

The whole experience or should I say experiment had me oooo so gassed up that I even took it a step further to colour block my makeup.
As you can see I created a turquoise, navy blue, pink and purple blocked effect on my eyes, the shadows used where taken from my Vital eye shadow compact (purple), Sleek i-Divine Chaos eye shadow palette and (turquoise& navy blue), Sleek i-Divine Acid eye shadow palette (pink), I then topped it off by applying a posh purple lipstick with my Mac Lipgelee & Dazzleglass, which allowed my lips to present more of a deep pink colour.
Over all the experience was really fun I have no clue why I’m only just trying this out loool...I leave you with two lovely ladies colour blocking ordeals that I stumble upon and fell in love immediately...as always love Poochie xxxxxxxxx

Sleek sheek

Yup I admit it I am addicted, like totally obsessed with Sleek eye shadow palettes, I try and buy all of them as soon as they are launched and guess what...*drum roll*...The Caribbean Collection is out for a limited time only :D...OMD as soon as the launch date (6th July) is here I will be the first in store to buy it.
The collection is made up of three elements; a exquisite tangy orange blush named Aruba, a vibrant calypso palette better known as Curaçao and the baby of the family the naughty Bonaire Pout Polish.
The Curaçao palette consists of 12 tasteful colours, 6 of which are matte types and the other six are shimmer shade. The Curaçao palette has given its 12 recipients names that reflect on drinks mainly found on holidays; Tequila Sunrise, Martini, Blue Hawaiian. Bloody Mary, Screwdriver, Green Iguana, Après Midori, Blue Lagoon, Purple Haze, Green Martini, Singapore Sling and Espresso Martini (from left to right starting from the top line).

I am overly excited to purchase my new collection and promise to have some swatches and a tutorial up of these items.
As of now a highly energised Pooch says I’m out, roger dat xxxx

Vlog ooo Vlog :D

Lool I think this is a new addiction *blushin*, maybe it’s down to the fact that I don’t actually see my siblings often that contributes to this overwhelming urge to talk to someone lool, how sad am I...any ways before I bore you to death with my typing here it is vlog take two I hope you guys enjoy.

Ankara shakara

Can you just imagine! You know sometimes you see things around you happening and you just keep quiet over it, but there are some issues and elements of life that arise and must be discussed.
Woow is all I can say because the good good words that are floating around my brain can not be expressed in such a public domain, I remember when I was younger and so many of my African friends mums came to school to drop or pick them up in some sort of African fabric, hmmm who remembers them days?...the way people looked at their mums as if to say they had lost their minds, yet still now I see Ankara everywhere, Indian, oyinbo (white), Chinese in fact everyone has now jumped on this Ankara, no in fact the African wave, even celebrities are embracing the African culture.
Beyonce, Fergie, Solange & Miss keys rockin' ankara

Gwen Stefani in her African attire

Proud I am I must say, finally Africa is now being recognised for something other than war and poverty, with this element taking the nation by storm. However it’s some of our own African people that are doing gbogbo big girls style (the don diva bitch) and there shakara (showing off) too plenty why I have to blog this...OMD in short they make me sick....so if you don’t already know Aldo have two variations of Ankara wedges on sale in store and online in the UK priced at £65, in my opinion the Ankara used is not that great it looks like the Ankara of agbalagba (the elderly) nature and yet still these stupid African girls are swarming down to Aldo to buy these shoes *rolls eyes*...
this is living proof that black people are the same ones that sold out their people, how can you physically go and buy Ankara shoes from an oyinbo (white) man are you mad!!!!! I don’t understand like really, can someone, anyone comprehend?  African tailors and seamstresses are too talented for this approach to be taken...well I am one of those who shall never sell out my people, I bought my Ankara for £15 in one of those shops in Liverpool street market, the wedges cost me £20 from New look and Baba Hannah charged me £15 to cover the shoes which totals £50, cheaper than Aldo’s shoes by £15 and are to my taste as well as unique.
The ankara for my shoes
The newlook wedges
Well when I receive the finished product then you be the judge.
For now a very raged and flabbergasted Poochie is signing out xxx

Silence

Yup silence it is in deed, because as of now I’m back on the antisocial wave, I have so many assignments to do and so little time, so hence forth I vow to post to my blog at least once every week as soon as my course is over *sniffles* its actually that peak, my social life has to come to a  hult in order for education to prosper....o well such is life, so my fellow bloggers I guess its farewell for now until my course is over (beginning of July), I leave you with some pics I’ve taken over the past couple of weeks....mwah xxx

Speed Post

Neglection is a word that has become my best friend, I have been forced to move on the antisocial wave due to the amount of drama that has presented itself in my life. So anyways ima try summarise the last 2 and a bit months of my life for you real quick. So firstly my bday, well what can I truly say about that, I had such a blast  the food was great my cake was too sexy and overall my bday was made extra special by all that attended and sent me messages and gifts. Here are three sneak peaks at the bday bonanza.

The next best event for me I would say would be my attendance to a family friends wedding, I mean she really went all out it was definitely a ‘Royal wedding’ (Friday 29th April), the vibrant reds and royal gold colours chosen for her special day’s theme  definitely reflected this. I couldn’t help but sneak a quick shoot in whilst the photographer was working his magic. Photo’s kindly taken with my cam by my darling Daniella.

So apart from these events really my life has been a drag, all I tend to do is tie myself down into my books. Uni is the ultimate point of focus for me right now unfortunately but fortunately. However one thing I have become extremely fascinated with is perfecting my eye makeup skills, as we can all agree that my 1st attempt was a complete faultier, I’ve even become so passionately excited about my new hobby that I had to purchase some equipment. So here goes nothing all my hard earned money and limited spear time amounts to these few creations.

Pray for Japan

May God guide and protect their people the ones that have passed and the ones still living, times are hard right now and faith is something essential to them right now as well as hope, God i jus ask you to give them hope and faith; faith that all things are possible and hope for a brighter day. Only you know Lord the reasons behind the destruction of their country, but every action has a reaction and i know you shall build them a better world. Lord i just ask you to comfort them, guide them and quentch their thirst for answers, all this and more in the name of GOD. Amen
I purposely closed within ‘in the name of God’ as I am aware that not everyone reading this blog will be Christian, this statement allows all to be able to identify with the prayer I have composed, please leave comments of courage and hope for the people of Japan. Thank you

Japans misfortune

So of recent there have been a lot of unfortunate happenings in Japan, throughout last week they have experienced an earthquake and a tsunami and what once was one of the world’s greatest economical country has now turned to nothing short of a dumping ground. May the Lord have mercy on Japan.
With the whole Japanese disaster it got me really thinking about my bible and the end of the world, after watching the movie 2012 directed by Roland Emmerich I can’t even lie I have a strong feeling that 2012 will be the end of the world, and with all the happenings of late it has enhanced this thought. Just last year Haiti was brutally destroyed by an earthquake, plus numerous ongoing  wars are spiralling out of the holy land as well as  NOW the earthquake that has hit Japan followed by tsunami which also affected Hawaii and some areas of the USA. These collective thoughts and observations bought my attention to a bible verse I had come across:
21:8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

21:9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.

21:10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:

21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

So is the world coming to an end? That for you to decide all I know is that 2012 for me will be spent in the heart of Africa; Congo

O na na wots my name

I was just sitting here chilin thinking about life when a friend of mine sent me this pic>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
random you think, I highly disagree. So I have a habit of representing summer all year round, its jus something I really cannot help so the latest craze in the summer collection was my ‘Rihanna hair’, the hair that my friend described as a fire truck hairdo...originally my hair style had no association with Rihanna’s new look at the time but I guess it just all fell into place nicely and i had to remix it.

Shoe whore

Shoes are a girl’s best friend I mean you can never ever have too many pairs, sooo I’m a certified shoe whore. I purchase, use and abuse my shoes :*(, well as you can see from the state of my room *covers face*I’m in love with shoes as well as D&G watches that my cousin got me hooked on, it may look like a lot but there is always room for more. So since Christmas (2010) I’ve been obsessed with Versace shoes from last year’s spring/summer collection. When first launched the shoes in this collection were ranged at between £1’450 and £1’000, unfortunately but fortunately for me only one style is still available; Dvea at a whooping £675
